Driver saddened by sight of helpless creature tethered to tree outside window.

Everything that our pups need in order to be happy is our immeasurable love. Looking at their tails wagging with excitement and their adorable eyes melting with love fills our hearts with joy.

Sadly, not all dog owners feel the same way about their pups.

Knowing that some people are capable of hurting a dog’s feelings and mistreating them is absolutely heartwrenching.

How can anyone betray these sweet and defenseless animals who shower us with so much love?

Ladybird was one of the defenseless puppies who learned how heartless people can be. The adorable fur baby was craully abondomed and tied to a tree.

Although she felt cold and scared, Ladybird patiently stood by the tree with her sorrowful puppy eyes concentrated on the nearby road. Her brave heart was filled with hope that someone would notice her and show her some compassion and love.

While driving down a Kentucky road, a driver saw a little brown and white pup sitting next to a tree. They slowed down and noticed that the fur baby was tied to a tree. Feeling hartbrocken, they quickly contacted Lewis County Animal Shelter.

Upon receiving the call, the rescoers headed to the location. They picked the fur baby up and brought her to the shelter.

“She was just so stoic sitting there by the tree, waiting for someone to notice her. So thankful that the shelter found her and took her in. She was found not far from the shelter, actually,” Kim Desroches of Friends of Lewis County Animals told The Dodo.

When the adorable fur baby, later named Ladybird, arrived at the shelter, she felt frightened and unsure of everything.

The shelter staff knew that the big public shelter was not the right place for Ladybird. She was a tiny and fragile puppy who needed love and affection.

When Kim Desroches, who works at Friends of Lewis County Animals, came across Ladybird’s photo on the shelter’s Facebook, she felt saddened.

The sweet puppy was around six to seven weeks old.

The staff at the rescue, along with Desroches, was in disbelief that someone could have tied a little sweet puppy looke Ladybird up and leave her without looking back.

Desroches was resolved to help the adorable fur baby find a foster home. She knew that the puppy could be exposed to a number of illnesses at the shelter.

Soon, Desroches found her a foster home, and Ladybird was pulled out from the shelter.

The delightful puppy moved in with her foster mom. She cuddled with Ladybird, showering her with a lot of affection and care.

Love chased away all of Ladybird’s fears, and the little pup became relaxed and playful.

After spending some time in a foster home, Ladybird’s rescoers found her placement with Licking County Humane Society; a rescue located in Ohio.

On January 27th, 2024, the rescue announced on their Facebook that the sweet pup is pending adoption.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed, and we hope that Ladybird found her happily ever after. She truly deserves to be cherished and boundlessly loved. She will never feel helpless and abondomed again.
